The Naturegate Green Fund was created in response to the increasing demand for legitimate sources of financing for sustainable tourism projects. Naturegate has been working with and identifying sources of financing for over ten years. In l999, we created NGF from sources of investment that Naturegate has worked with over time. NGF is not a fund in the traditional sense of the word; it is a group of investors that are committed to investing in sustainable tourism projects that fit an environmental, cultural and financial model. NGF Investor Group members are committed to balancing their investment objectives with their philanthropic, social responsibility and justify a social return as part of their overall ROI.

Naturegate has established La Communidad, a United States IRS approved 503 (C) non-profit organization. La Communidad is the conduit for funding education, training and infrastructure components for qualified projects.

NGF members come from both the private and public sector; they have committed to responsible environmental and cultural stewardship through sustainable tourism development. NGF financing models are different for each project but can be debt, equity or a combination of both.
